Contageous Illnesses
I will not perform a massage if you have an acute
contagious disease: cold, flu, bubonic plague, whatever. It
is not safe for my other clients. I will also not perform
massage if I have something contagious.
One indication of contagion is a fever. If you have a
fever, I can not do massage.

If your fever has passed but you are still recovering from a cold or the flu,
the massage may make you feel worse the next
day. The massage may flush leftover toxins from your muscles into
your bloodstream, making you feel like you're having a
relapse. But the day after that, you'll probably feel great!
If you are aware of this possibility and want to decrease
your recovery time by feeling worse for one day, I will do
the massage; otherwise I do not recommend it.
People
don't always know they have a contagious illness. That's why I
follow strict sanitation procedures with all equipment after
each client. Surfaces are wiped down with alcohol and
sheets are washed with bleach. I wash my hands and arms with
antibacterial soap both before AND after each client to prevent
the spread of germs, and I even clean the doorknobs daily.
Tranquility Time is a
clean environment where you can feel safe and relaxed. If you
have special concerns, please feel free to call and discuss them
at 214-395-8000.
