Being Late to your Massage Appointment
I'm one of those people who is almost always on time. It's a
gift. But I understand that the
DFW area traffic does not always
cooperate.
If you're a few minutes late, it's not really a big deal.
I try to schedule plenty of time between clients so we don't
have to hurry; it would be counterproductive to stress yourself out in
traffic rushing to your massage.
However, if you
are more than 15 minutes late and I do not hear from you, I
must assume that you are not going to make your appointment
and that the time is available for other clients. If
you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you may not
get all the time you are paying for. It would be unfair to
make the next client wait.
If you know you are going to be late, please call me at
214-395-8000. It may
be possible to reschedule your appointment for a little
later, and then you won't have to rush.
No Shows
However, clients who just don't show up for a scheduled
appointment are another matter. Sometimes I make a special
trip to the office for one client, and if they don't show
up, that needlessly cuts a couple of hours out of my day.
My policy is to give you one "no show." After the second
missed appointment I will not schedule another.
Emergencies
Stuff happens. Life is not always kind. And when you are
in the midst of a family crisis or medical emergency, the
last thing you need to think about is calling me to
reschedule your appointment. You have your priorities, and I
hope that I am way, way down on that list.
I do ask that
you call me when you get a free moment to explain and
reschedule. I know that when your crisis is resolved, you
will need your massage.
No cancellation fee
I do not charge a cancellation fee, but conscientious
clients who have to cancel on short notice often send me a
little something or offer a large tip on their next
appointment. Such gratuities are welcome and appropriate,
but not required.
