People often ask me, "Do I have to get
completely
naked?" The answer is "No."
When you receive a
massage you should remove as
much clothing as you can without sacrificing your
sense of modesty. You will be carefully draped at
all times, so even if you do decide to "go commando"
you will not be exposed.
However there are some garments that make the
therapist's job more difficult. Boxer shorts make it
difficult to access the hip area, and bra straps
pose a challenge to the back. Sports bras with their
wide straps severely decrease the effectiveness of a
back massage, so they are not recommended.
Massage oil is sometimes difficult to wash out of
clothing. Therefore Tranquility Time offers
disposable paper undergarments that allow access to
sore muscles while allowing clients to feel safe and
secure.
People also ask me, "Do I
have to use the
drape?" Although nudity is the norm for
European spas and many spas on the west coast,
draping is customary in North Central Texas. Please see "Draping"
for my draping policy.
